In response to our vision to improve quality of life, Urban Camp assists eligible schools from economically challenged areas with our Country Relief Project (which commenced in 2001).

Each year six schools, identified from different regions, are beneficiaries of a subsidised Urban Camp.

2009 School Visit Snap Shot

‘Rainbow and Yaapeet Primary Schools travelled by bus to Urban Camp in March this year with 19 students and three teachers. On arrival they were introduced to Metlink Adventures – Melbourne’s public transport education program – who prepared them for three days practical experience travelling around the city. The days were packed with visits to the Zoo, Aquarium, Scienceworks, the big screen at Imax, National Gallery of Victoria, Champions Museum, swimming at the Sports and Aquatic Centre, a bird’s eye view of the city from Eureka Skydeck, a cruise down the Yarra, and a very competitive session of ten pin bowling’.
