Board Announcement - Urban Camp CEO Appointment
The board of Urban Camp Melbourne is delighted to announce Elizabeth Compton has been appointed Urban Camp’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Elizabeth brings to the role a wealth of experience in strategic and operational leadership, growing sustainable organisations and delivering outstanding customer experiences gained from roles at for-purpose organisations both in Australia and during her time working in London, Amsterdam and New York.
Elizabeth’s senior executive appointments have included LanguageLoop where she was CEO for six years as well as VicTrack, the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Environment Protection Authority. Current Board appointments include RMIT Training, Continence Foundation of Australia and aged care and retirement living provider Southern Cross Care (SA, NT, Vic).
Urban Camp Chairperson, Nicole Bradshaw, notes Elizabeth’s broad strategic leadership credentials in both for-purpose and corporate organisations gained in Australia and working in Europe and the USA. Our new CEO will guide the Camp through our next stage of strategic planning and growth, complemented by her focus on building great teams and impactful stakeholder relationships. “Elizabeth is motivated by the impact Urban Camp has on the children who visit, the breadth and depth of our offering and the challenge to bring the Urban Camp vision to even more children as we grow and expand.”
Ms Compton commented, “I am looking forward to taking Urban Camp into its 40th year and building on the wonderful legacy we have built over four decades.
